Armor

The item upgrader lets players upgrade the equipment level of their trinkets, armor and weapons. The upgrade is applied to equipment when you visit an upgrader NPC using the appropriate currency. Upgrading an item will also increase the stats on the item.

This NPC can be found in each major city and is located at the edge of the square, near a Teleport. The NPC can be used to upgrade any piece of armor or weapon with the exception of items that require the completion of a quest or craft.

Note: The item you use to apply an upgrade is consumed for the duration of time. You are not able to apply multiple upgrades to the same piece. If you try to do this, the previous upgrade will be overwritten.

Some weapons can be upgraded to a higher quality using an Ashes of War weapon, which is rewarded for beating certain bosses in raids. Whetblades are rare items that allow you to unlock new Affinities for weapons.

Once a weapon is fully upgraded, the player is able to continue to upgrade the weapon as long as he/she has the appropriate upgrade materials and currency. It is important to know that weapons can only be upgraded to the level of 25 and not higher. As a result, players should only upgrade their weapons when they’ve acquired the maximum possible number of upgrades from regular and Whetblade items.
